The Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) has significantly impacted fishing conservation in Washington and Oregon since its establishment in 2007. With over 100,000 members, it advocates for sustainable fisheries, tackling issues like gillnetting and sea lion predation. CCA’s initiatives have led to the removal of non-tribal gillnets and substantial funding for hatcheries.
